Recently went to see my CDE aka Certified Diabetic Educator. She suggested I get Diachrome. Found out that chromium picolinate and biotin is the two main ingredients of this. Does anyone take this Diachrome? Or any other supplements that helps Diabetes like cinnamon?

I am not a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL so PLEASE see your health care professional. I take 1000 mcg of Chromium Picolinate and 1000 mcg Biotin once daily around 7pm and MY A!C went from 6.4 to 5.4 in 2 months. Both must be taken together in order to work. GOOD LUCK!

No didnt know that I could get that kind of testing on Vitamin D. Let me know what you results are from using the Biotin. Hugs

I added 5000 mcg of biotin to my diet about a month ago to see if it would help stop my fingernails from splitting. I've been getting these vertical ridges on my nails that split and catch and hurt. It's still a bit early to see if it's effective but I have high hopes based on the feedback I got from other DC members who use biotin. I buy it at WalMart. After about 3 months go by, I plan on posting an update to the discussion I started on "Fingernail splitting". Have they tested your vitamin D levels as that can also be a problem with us diabetics.
