Well, last Monday was moving day. As some of you may remember our landlord gave us till the end of August to be our of our old place. So, on the 31st we were cleaning and moving and trying our best to get everything done. It became abundantly clear that we werent going to get it done. I was having a meltdown and my loving husband called the landlord to ask for a few more days. He said that we could have all the time we needed. He also said that he thought we were staying!! Once we paid our back rent he said that we were square with him and that the TWO eviction letters that he had sent us was "just the attorney coming out in him". Said that he wished the communication had been better between us. Well, just let me say this. When your landlord tells you to get out of his house, then sends you TWO eviction letters I think that is pretty stinking clear! He even said to me in an e mail that he already had someone lined up for that place! Do I need to say that last Wednesday was both one of the worst and one of the best days of my life? So, we are now moved into our new place and still have to finish cleaning out the old place. I'm going to be going over there this Wednesday and getting back at it.
Thanks everyone for all your kind thoughts and prayers. It means a lot.

Its good to know you are in your new home. Perhaps you will be able to get a better
nights rest now that the stress is behind you. I wish you well in your new home.

Sounds like someones ex-landlord needs to be taught a few lessons in communication! You are well out of there and away from him-he did it once, he'd do it again, IMO.
I do hope you will be happy in your new home and that you will be settled and stress free as soon as possible :)

Wow Moved! Yes, I definitely would have thought that was time to go too! Wonder where this landlord's mind was? I hope you love your new home and welcome mat is out from me to you. Have a great holiday today.

My guess is that Landlord's mind thought he already had someone else for the rental, but it fell through. Now the prospect of having no income has changed his mind about you. Too late!

Incrediable of your old landlord…what were you supposed to think? I am glad you have a new place to live and blessings to you and all of your family.
