I just did the diabetes step-out walk in cincinnati. Has anyone else done it in other states? They pass out lots of good information. The walk I did was either 1.8, 2.6 or 5.4 miles.I did the 2.6 mile one because I'm not in good enough shape to do the 5.4 miles yet. I did it in 48 mins. Not bad for me. I recemmoned anyone who can to attend one good excersie and lots of vendors there passing out information. They even had healthy breakfast and lunch.

I had done a 10K years ago, but have not done one since I have been a diabetic. Walking several miles is not too hard, but I have not found a way to hook up with one. My husband would do it with me, he likes doing those kinds of things. I just don't know enough people to raise any money for my walk.

I don't think they expect you to raise alot. I only raised $50. They'll take anything they can get. Every little bit helps.

Interesting then, I will have to look into one next year. There was just a walk not too long ago...or maybe in November since it is Diabetes awareness month. Thanks

I wish I could do it and the breast cancer one but I cannot walk for long periods of time. I do good to walk in to Wal Mart. Then I have to ride the electric scooter around to shop.

I also did the breast cancer one about a month ago in Mason,OH. My work is into that one alot. They even pay our registeration fees and buy us breakfast before the walk.
