Haiku for Diabetics

Laughter relieves stress. Sometimes we just have to let go and laugh at ourselves (even though diabetes is a very serious condition.)

Any other word-smiths out there? I'd love to read other contributions… haiku, poem, short story, etc…

Metformin is a
Hurricane in my belly
Turn poo to water

Chicken new best friend
How many sauces are there
No more frying allowed

Exercise makes my
Injection sites red and angry
Help to find next site

Test, record and stick
Too high, too low, we all worry
Can not be perfect

(Haiku rules - 1st line, five syllables; 2nd line, seven syllables; 3rd line five syllables…)

Tried Haiku in grade school. never could quite get the hang of it.

I always liked writing in prose better

Diet drinks full, sit lonely
Blood sugar happy
