The gifts we e-mail each other here. I mentioned this to the arthritis group but I would also like to ask it here. I would like to ask Administration to add to the gifts we give to each
Other here. A specific example is I would like to e-mail AmySpeer a rainbow (which is the universal sign for hope). I was also thinking of: a cute Teddy Bear, Sun (for wishing someone a time of Sunshine in their lives), cuddly kitten, cute puppy, hot chocolate, box of chocolates (both sugar free of course :), open Bible (faith), and heart (love &/or caring).
Do you have any suggestions??

This is a great idea. And while we are at it, how about a way to save discussions that we want to revisit. I sometimes forget the titles of discussions and have to really hunt them down when I come back on. But on the other hand, sometimes the search leads you to other interesting discussions as well. Nevermind.

I use the "track" link to bring me back when someone else posts on that discussion.

I've also marked one discussion thread for tracking, but I can't figure out how to use the notification to get back to the actual discussion. So far, all I've been able to use it for is to know that something was added to the discussion. Any hints? You seem quite computer savy jayabee. How do you do you use it to get back to the actual discussion?

Well if it is an active discussion the new postings will bring it back up. You will see a red oval with a number in it next to "My profile." near the header of the page. If the post is not that active, the only thing I can suggest is to copy and paste the url in the address box to a word processor program. and save it in a place you can find it.

I cannot save to this computer so if I want to save a link which is useful to me, I use the drafts mode of my email and save it there.

I am not all that computer saavy carol, I've just been around DC for a long time.

Thanks again for the info. I am slowly but surely learning how to use this site effectively, so I really appreciate the suggestions. I'll be a pro in no time.

Back to the original thought though, the Teddy can also represent a new birth.

Praying hands, Christmas tree, Jack-O-Lanterns, Turkey, Cute bunny with easter eggs, a water fall for serenity a Flag or fireworks for the 4th of July. Confetti and a Hat for New years eve maybe a cross. I don't know I think some of those would be nice for holidays so we could wish our friend here the best.
