at the risk of sounding religous, I have found that the best food for me to loose wieght on is Gods food, not mans food. Fruits and veggies. and even meat and fish if its a good grade. That and water. I stay away from processed foods.

The new super food on the market is Acai berry. It is supposed to aid you in losing weight. Also I have been taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted with warm water before breakfast and dinner and it is supposed to help absorb some of the fat and carbs. i have lost a little but I am on insulin and it is hard to loose when you are on insulin. i could starve and notloose weight. And anytime I have a change to go higher on dose I gain more weight. It is a vicious cycle. Good luck to us all trying to loose weight.

Thanks for the info. I saw that about acai berry, the only thing I wonder about diets, is it safe for diabetics to use the products or not, I find something that I am interested in and I think is this safe to use or not. How much warm water for the apple cider vinegar?

About the same amount. I have a shot glass I put it in and then drink. so 1 tablespoon vingar and 1 tablespoon water. You do not have to do the water, I just do it because the vinegar is really strong. But if you like the taste then you can do without the water. And the acai berry I know would be good for us because I saw about it on DLife. And you can get a supplement of it online at the vitamin places like Puritans Pride. I am saving up the money to get some, it is kind of expensive. I think 60 pills for 40 dollars. I hate to ask my hubby in case it does not work. I will do it with my next disability check in NOvember.

Fiber. Consuming foods high in fiber is good for you and helps you feel full. I add chia seeds to my drinks, and sometimes to my salads or meals. It seems to keep me energized and feeling satisfied. I find eating a lot of raw foods slows me down and gives my tummy a chance to tell my brain I am full.

The other thing is portions. I was so used to eating beyond full, that it was just gross. Now I measure most of my foods with measuring cups and a scale. That keeps me more honest instead of just guessing how much I put on my plate.

Those are some things that have helped me, and since I have been a member here, I have lost about 60 pounds.
