I was told by my Uncle that he takes cinnamon tablets and that it lowers your blood sugar. Has anyone else heard about this?

I use reall cinnamon every day it actually does work. It does not do so well when your sick but if healthy it works great.

There is no solid scientific proof that cinnamon helps with diabetes but there is some anecdotal stories from people that it has helped them. Try it and see but remember after you have been taking it for a while and think it helps to stop taking it for a month or so to see if anything changes. Often in the anecdotal stories something else is helping to lower blood sugar and when they stop taking cinnamon they don't notice any change other than a few extra dollars in their wallet.

My doctor has had me taking cinnamon capsules for about three years now, and it really works! I take a capsule that contains 1,000 MG of cinnamon (one or two capsules per day); you can get a huge bottle at CVS or Walgreens…or whatever pharmacy you have in your area…or Wal-Mart.

My mom is pre-diabetic so she tried this and it actually lowered her average bg levels. When she told me about it, I added two 1000mg cinnamon capsules a day, one with breakfast , one with dinner. My levels have dropped as well. You can usually find the capsule form with the vitamins. I get them at Wal Mart. if you don't like taking them (they are kinda big) open them and sprinkle them over whole wheat toast or in steel-cut oats. I also noticed a drop in my high blood pressure. :)

Yes, I always sprinkle cinnamon on my apple in the morning and the next testing I do shows…It does work for me, no table, just cinnamon sprinkled on things…

Cinnamon gives me heartburn and I haven't gone to see if they have the tablets anywhere. Something to do then.
