I get up at 4:15am Monday-Friday to be to work by 6:30am. I am not the type of person who can just get up, hop in the shower, and leave for work! I have to take the dogs out, feed and water them, check up on my grown kids on Facebook (!), and drink a cup of tea. Then it's time to get ready for work. I am always early for work, so I have my breakfast before I clock in for the day. I work at an answering service (very high volume), so it is not hard work, however, it is very stressful. Every day, starting around 9am or so, I get so tired, I feel as though I won't make it through the day. Something new for me is taking a nap in my recliner for an hour or two after work. Then I go to bed between 8pm and 9pm. This can't be normal. Any suggestions??
Thanks, Lindy

When I have a high is when I get tired quicker. I think the bG drives the strength out of us diabetics. I am not sure why but I only want to sleep when it is high. Too low and i am ready for bed as well. If i am around 90 to 120 I am fine and have energy for the day. Go figure. I am just now getting my bG under control after 10 years of struggling with meds, insulin, doctors, nurses, exercise, dietician you name it i have tried it. Victoza has help me more in the last 4 weeks than any other med i am on - at least so far. talk to your endo doctor and see what they tell you.

Breakfast for me is usually a couple of sausage links and a breakfast bar. I've never been a breakfast person until now.

Hey, you sound just like me! I get up at 3:30 to leave at 6:30 for work! My morning is almost the same as yours except I throw in a 1/2 hour exercise bike ride and breakfast!
And I'm pooped by 9AM-I've done a half days work by then! No wonder! By the time I get home all I want to do is crawl in the recliner and take a nap, and wake up tomorrow! I have been known to fall asleep driving home!
Regular bedtime is usually 8PM for me too-even if something good is on the tube!
We may not be "normal" but I think its normal for us-this is the routine we have, everyone is different.
I'm jealous of those folks who can go to bed at 10 or 11 and wake up at 7AM and leave for work all happy at 8 and start their day (do they have dogs??) That's not us.
I feel your pain, and suffer loudly along with you :-P
