Anybody know about "Calorie King Software".
I am thinking about buying it to help me with my carb counting and dieting.

My dietitian was recommending his books, and handing them out for free.

So far, the only thing I don't like about the software is the database is way to large and includes too much stuff I won't touch.
He has so many restaurants across the USA, so it makes it harder to find what I want.
But, it does give you the option to make your own entries, as your favorites.

I actually have Calorieking downloaded on my iPhone. It's okay. It accesses over 70,000 food items. Just wish you can literally keep track of what you consume.

The one I am talking about keeps track of what you consume.
For instance it has me at about an 1800 calorie diet so I will lose weight. So, when I input my breakfast, it then computes that I have 1430 calories left to consume for the day.
It also keeps track of your water intake to make sure you drink enough.

Sounds pretty cool. Id be interested but sadly I need a new laptop. So I'm saving for that. Until then I guess I can't look into it. But sounds very interesting! I love those kids of apps! I found a great one for my android phone that conunts and graphs my blood sugar and insulin use. I show the graphs to my doc. He really likes them too! Those kind of apps can be great tools! :)

reasis77, Have you checked Craigslist in your area for laptops? I'm in Las Vegas and we just got 2 laptops for $200 and they're both nearly new. You can also put an ad up for what you're looking for and you might be surprised at the responses. Can't hurt to try ;)

I think it's a great idea! But I went right to the website just now, and it doesn't support Windows 7, so I may be out of luck :(

I have windows 7 and it works fine. My computer is new, with USB 3.0 connections and solid state drives. Intel 5i quad cpu's.
Just hate to buy the software and then find out I don't use it. Or if some one knows of a better product.
But the dietitian I really like uses his books.
