I am interested in knowing about what impact the BG lowering tablets have on pancreas? Do medicines help in squeezing insulin out of pancreas? Can the pancreas be pushed by particular physical exercises to bring forth more insulin into the body? shall br grateful if anyone got clues to that.

Shah 49,I'm a tpye 2 and have been on tablets. Both the tablets and exercise will help improve the management of your illness.Weight loss is very important as fat interfers witt the transmission of insulin from the blood to the receptor sites of the pancreas. Loosing as little as10-15 lbs will make a difference. Fat is the main factor in insulin resistance. So, walk around the block a few times, gradually increase the number of blocks and see the difference. Good luck,Pete PS, become informed af the risks associated with Avandia and Actos.

Sayed Im not T2 and dont use pills but I think the pills help T2's better utilize the insulin their pancreas still makes. And losing weight can help a T2 better use their insulin. Hooefully some more members will see this and chime in! Lots of Love to you!
