Just had my third checkup since being diagnosed and made my doctor proud. I gave my membership here on DC some of the credit for helping me get started the right way. Thanks to everyone here!

I am beginning to feel comfortable with diabetes. I have Type 2 and was diagnosed in May of this year. It was a lot to come to grips with. This is just the best community ever. My questions get answered knowlegeably and with real concern. Hope you are doing well too.

I'm doing well. I am happy and healthy and sane. Oh, well, two out of three ain't bad. When it comes to finding a doctor, check out: www.ratemds.com and www.yelp.com for your local areas to get non-biased reviews of doctors. I find it very important to check out doctors for their abilities rather than just let them check us out by our insurance companies and copays.

really important, Angel to find a Doc.

I moved late Dec 2010 and didn't look for new Insurance & Dr for a couple months, and almost derailed my health again. Back on track pretty well now.

My diabetes has treated me well with almost 31 years of it under my belt, "knock on wood" I have had no complications from the disease.

Howdy Melissa!

My diabetes is treating me well. The beast is behaving this morning —- 110 —- fasting, and still without D. medications, only controlled by my food choices.

How is "D beast" behaving for you?

James

If you don't have diabetes, may I ask why you are here on DC? You ask alot of questions. Are you doing research for a paper, or just curious?

There are several people who are here on DC who don't have "D beast" but their loved one has it.

Often they are here to understand what their loved one is going through, give them support, or to research meds or whatever.

As there is precious little info on her profile, she'd have to share what her motivations are to hang out with us. otherwise we'd just be guessing.
