I have one that I use sometimes. Does any body else use one?

I have to use those scooters when I go shopping. My insurance company won't get me one because my house is too small. They say if you can't use it in your house they won't cover it. My Dr has written several letters but they won't budge. I use my rollator in the house and the store scooters.

Hi Misery,
I am sorry to hear that you need to use a chair sometimes. Just try to optimistic about it. Think about the things that you can do.
I was in a chair for over 8 months and I know that it can be sooo difficult and frustrating at times. Try to keep a good attitude and things get better.

I don't use one, but probably will have to one day. My neighbor just got one and he is thrilled with it. He is 71 and has Type 1. He is getting to play outside with his grandchildren for the first time in a while.

My husband uses one sometimes. It was given to him by a dear friend of ours. He says he gets too uncomfortable in the seat after a while and goes back to his manual one. It does give him more height and that helps him a lot.

We have looked at the ones that can lift him up so he can reach more things in the cupboard, but he is not ready to go full time into one. He likes the exercise he gets from pushing his own butt around. LOL

My lung Doctor filled out all the paper work so I can get a power chair. I can
walk around the inside of the house but
when I go outside I use the chair.
