Does anyone eat Rice Cakes? I thought they would be low in Carbs,
which the product says it has 7 carbs, but I sp ike on them. Has anyone got a answer to this problem.

I do not eat white rice or rice products of any kind as I am on the NO WHITE Diet which includes no salt, sugar, white rice, white potatoes and white noodles. This diet is helping me to lose weight.

rice...that says it all for me. I can't touch rice, even brown rice. It is such a bummer. You might be like me. Sometimes it isn't the amount of carbs as a number, but the glycemic index and how that works with you. I can eat agave nectar without a spike, but sugar, which has the same carb count will spike me. It is a mystery.

Thanks Gabby,
That explains what is happening when I
eat them. I will find something else.

I like the rice cakes too. I guess I will have to find something else too. I noticed I spike on them too.

Thank you for your reply, I am so glad
that someone else had this happen to them. If I find something else to eat
for snacks, I will let you know. Will
you please do the same?

This is going to sound backwards, but I get those oriental rice snacks. They are coated with soy and who knows what else. Those, if I don't eat more than a serving, don't bother me usually. Its one of the only rice things I can eat. Go figure.

The other thing that I snack on a lot that I feel is very safe is nuts. Usually raw, no salt. Almonds are great, cashews, and walnuts. I also make a chopped nut mix of all kinds of different types and keep it handy for salads, cooking and icecream! yum.

Sounds good, I will try Nuts for snacks
or put on my salads. Thanks again
