I am a health coach. I can help you lose the weight and give you all the support that you need. I'd love to talk to you. Send me an email and we can chat.
Harlen made a great point. Fiber is extremely important in making you feel full. You should be getting 40g a day. If you are not, you should definitely increase your fiber intake.

I am sorry to hear that you have no support. Thankfully my wife and kids are very supportive, but I guess I am my worst enemy because I get lazy and fall back at times, but with encouragement from the wife I go back. This time I am determined to stick it out.
I need to lose around 50 pounds to get back to a healthy wieght. It is hard when your 65, but not impossible, so here goes, I am off to healthy 150 in about 6 months, give or take a few weeks.

You are a person with diabetes (PWD)? How do you try to control your condition?

Baby carrots aren't the worst thing you can eat, but they're not the best choice either, since they are medium on the glycemic index.

I have tried to control my diabetes by what I eat. I eat a low-carb high protein meal plan, and I have kept my BG numbers in the normal range. What is more, I have lost 40+ lbs in the last 7 mos. And I wasn't even trying to lose weight when I started the plan.

It takes longer for your body to digest proteins so you will feel fuller, longer. Proteins also provide the building blocks to repair and build muscles.

You may not be able to control your BG numbers with your eating plan alone, but you can keep your numbers more stable eating low carb high protein menus and I would expect you too would find some success in losing the weight.

Now be aware, that this is not a quick weight loss plan, and if you are working out you may not lose any weight on the scale, but you may notice your clothes are fitting looser because you may well be building muscle, and added muscle does weigh something.

I pray you find success in your goals

im diabetes beginner so im trying to eat what ever i can afford and babycarrots dont help all the time im always hungry and cant controll it =(

Try hard boiled eggs for a snack. Do you think you could afford that? The eggs have a lot of protein and will tend to keep you fuller longer.

I do remember what it is like being a diabetes beginner. I was so proud of myself for "eating light" when I ate rice cakes after first being Dx'd. I've been there, (only worse)!

As I said, baby carrots were not the worst thing you could have had.
