What do you do when you wake in the morning and your blood sugar is already over 300? I know I ate the wrong things last night but now what? I'm not usually hungry until about noon. But then … I'm always hungry before bed. I have this problem a lot. I get carb crazy before going to bed.

Howdy Sibyl!
Without knowing what your diabetes care team has you doing to try to control your diabetes, it would be difficult to suggest what to do.

NOT eating the wrong things at night before bed would be a good start. Starting to eat earlier in the day might keep you from getting so ravenous at night that you eat the wrong things (have been there - done that myself). Eating small meals throughout the day I have found was the best way to keep my eating later at night under better control.

Praying you get this under control soon.

My blood sugar is not that high in the morning but it is higher than when I go to bed at night. My gastrointestinal doctor told me that my stomach processes food too slowly and gave me a medication for it. He also suggested not eating for 2 hours before I go to sleep.
