Make insulin pump with a blood tester
They should make an insulin pump that can test your blood and give insulin. I think that would be a good product for people that have type 1 diabetes it be easier and less things to worry about and less things for the insurance companies to cover.

Hi Hayn79,
What you are describing is on the market in Europe, but it has not been approved by the FDA here in the states.
I have the CGM it really has helped because I can see my blood sugars and correct quicker.
Isn't that what a pump with the continuous glucose monitor feature already does?
The Omni pod takes your blood sugar as well and you dont need a second meter to carry around.
There is one already in Europe that does it. It hasn't been approved by the US yet.
That would be nice
Lets hope that intime they can make it .
Best wishes
Harlen
What you seem to be describing is the "artificial pancreas" which is under development, last I heard. Here's a link about it: http://www.artificialpancreasproject.com/
