Everything was o.k. and than when I start cooking and getting ready for company I sit take shot sit down and eat, then clean up. Start to feel strange and find blood glugose in 50's on meter. Now I start with 2 glugose tablets a couple of thin slices and ham, it goes up to 70. Now I'd like to go to bed so take couple small bites of bar and wind up with a 151 count. Really mad at myself. I can't believe lasagna would not keep glugose for supper count. The two cheeses ricotta and mozarrella where low fat. Where did I go wrong?

You didn't - its the same thing we all go through. I am one of those that spikes as soon as I get out of bed. This morning my Out of Bed reading was 64. I drank a large glass of water and took a 4gram glucose wafer and then proceeded to get my day started. Took my shower and then got my breakfast ready. I tested before I ate, which was about 45 minutes after I'd gotten up and it was up to 171. I took 5 units of Lantus and 5 units of Novolog and ate my bowl of cereal (cheerios) with a tsp of peanut butter. Two hours later? My glucose is 213!!!! What did I do wrong? Who knows. This is what I do every morning. Some days I'm fine after two hours and some days I'm not. (((hugs)))

Thanks I guess it gets me flustrated bec I'm trying to lower my 7.1 A1C and these ups and downs drive me nuts. My husband says I'm to busy all day and should take timeout. If I sit and do nothing it drives me crazy. I see my glucose going up because I'm not moving. (That's probably not true.) Thanks again.
