Which lancets need the least amt of blood to get a reading. I am using the One Touch Ultra mini and it takes a lot of blood to get a proper reading. I would like to try another lancing device. Open for suggestions, please.

I'm stuck using only what medicare will cover unfortunately, but they have a nice accucheck that is supposed to take less blood. I saw in comercials the strips are supposed to have a "zipwick" design that absorbs even the smallest amount of blood! It looked really great but I've never tried it personally. You might want to check into that love to get a new system! The one I use hurts worse than my insulin injections! Sadly I'm stuck with this generic medicare covered meter.hey at least I have coverage and I'm greatful for that but my system needs updated BADLY! The people said next year I can update so for now I'm stuck with the painful old thing! I wish you the very best and hope you find a good one! God bless!
