What's the weirdest thing you've used to bring up your BG from a low? What's your favorite thing to use?

I was once caught in the car out in the middle of the boonies with a low BG. The only thing we had in the car was some leftover ketchup packets from Jack In The Box. It took 4, but it worked until we could get to a gas station. My favorite thing is to eat a couple of spoonfuls of Nutella… Chocolate and hazelnut goodness…

I guess the strangest thing I ever used was once when I was at home by myself and hubby was at work I ate some canned corn. It worked like a charm though…lol

I mostly use juice boxes, theyre the easiest for middle of the night lows! My worst low experience was in the car, when all we had on hand was bean boozled jelly beans. (we had just left Jungle Jims) flavors were; skunk spray, licorice, pencil shavings, rotten egg, etc.. Not much of a fan of those gross flavors!

Like George, it depends what I'm around; most times its glucose tabs, but I have been known to enjoy a couple gulps of hubby's Mountain Dew!

I always have like a million tubes of glucose tabs rolling around in the bottom of my purse. My daughter thinks they're candy. She doesn't know what they're really for. I'd rather her eat those than regular candy any day!

My favorite thing for fixing a low is a small box of raisins, but I've used many other things depending on when and where… I've eaten a hot dog, a candy bar, pepperoni sticks and anything else I can get my hands on.

If you are asking what I would like to use if I ever had a low, my hands down favorite would be OJ. Haven't had that in quite some time and I got a hankering to drink some.

PS: I very rarely get a low.
