yes,i do rent my home.3bdrm./2bth. on a decent piece of property, however i also have 5 kids.the living room and kitchen are plenty big enough for us but we need a 4bdrm. place. my 2 girls share a room which is okay, they are only 2 years apart,11yrs. and 13yrs. however that puts my 3 boys in one room.the room is big enough but the age difference, well that makes it not so fair of a situation.you see my oldest son will be 16 in september and the younger two are 8 and 10.my oldest son has no privacy and is always stepping on leggos and other toys both of which are not fair to him.i have been hunting for a new rental for quite some time now,and heres the funny part…i have found many other 3bdrm. places that people are willing to rent to me,but when it comes to 4 or 5 bedrm. places the landlords (several of them) wont rent to me because i have too many kids. i feel that is so mean!!! if you rent out a home that would accomodate my family or any other family my size, why would you turn us away? i cant help but wonder…are theese landlords honestly renting these large homes out in hopes that a single person will rent it? what would they do if a single person did rent it and then get married, start a family, and end up with more children than me…would they evict them soley for that reason?? how can someone be so heartless?maybe these landlords arent mean or heartless, maybe im just so aggravated that so many have told me the same thing that im just letting my emotions get away and judging them without the rite to do so.has anyone else gone through a simular situation? how did you keep yourself from getting angry with those landlords who did turn you away for silly reasons? ive been praying that god will give me peace and also lead me to the rite rental unit for our family…please friends, pray for me also!!

I live in New York City and I can tell you that it might be the world center for mean landlords. I know they have reason for being so tough, but having been on the receiving end a few times, I can certainly sympathize with your frustration. My experience has been that persitence and patience are the keys, just keep looking and you will at some point connect with the right apartment and the right landlord (as least as close to right as you can realistically get).

I hope you aren't too stressed out with this. It's one of those situations where we just have no control over how other people choose to behave.

I am wishing you the best on this. Please keep us posted.

That really sucks. Will keep you in my prayers. I definitely know the pain of stepping on Leggos! BTW, what state are you in? They may have anti-discrimination laws against that sort of thing in your state. Depends on where you live. Good luck on finding a new home!

Of course, Mona, I will pray for you and your situation. I believe God will come through for you, those turn downs mean that those were not the best choice for you. God has a longer view than any of us. Trust that He will bring about a good situation in the appropriate time.

Why don't you try to buy a house?? With things the way the are rite now anyone can get one ??
Try you never know.
