Just read an article in a diabetes magazine that mentioned drinking 2-3 cups of green tea daily is supposed to help lower blood sugar. Didn't give a lot of details. Has anyone experienced lower glucose numbers from drinking green tea? Thanks!

I cant say Ive noticed a difference but it may be a statistic that only applies to T2s. Green tea has been touted as the closest we will come to the Fountain of Youth because its packed full of antioxidants!

I have heard that green tea is supposed to help lower blood sugar, but was never crazy about the taste, however, last week I found a great green tea drink that is delicious. It is called Lipton Sparkling diet green tea, Strawberry Kiwi flavor, is really good when cold from the fridge. It is like a carbonated green tea, very tasty, no calories, no carbs, no sugars, comes in 16.9 oz bottle, small amount of caffeine. I bought it here at Publix (our main grocery store chain), so I'm sure it can be found most anywhere. It came in a package of 12 bottles. Give it a try, is very refreshing on these awfully hot days!

I like it too! Ive never seen the strawberry kiwi flavor; have had the mixed berry and citrus and the citrus is my favorite! And youre right-very refreshing on these Dog Days! :)
