When I had the laser surgery it was a bit painful. Not very much fun at all. The hardest part for me was holding still for that length of time. Mine was watery and a bit sore the next day too. But once it stopped watering I could see about the same as before. Doc said it was holding good so I'm happy with it.

No experience with lasar and eyes, but had some very painful wound care last year. I took every bit of pain med the allowed me without hesitation. If it makes saving and/or improving your eyesight that is what I would do. The wonderful Dr. who caused me so much pain when he was saving my legs knows how much I dreaded his visits. But he also knows I knew how important his treatments were.

When I had my eye surgery, light bothered my eyes a lot. By the end of the work day, my eye felt like someone was stabbing me in the eye. I found I could work without pain if I kept the eye covered with a patch. See if that helps you any.
