Hey, it's "Hot, Hot, Hot" here in NJ today!

The temperature reached 102 degrees here (07/22/11).

How hot is it where you live?

As a diabetic, we must take care of ourselves in times of high, and hot summer heat.

I was driving between Slidell and Covington (Louisiana) when I noticed that the outside temperature - according to my dashboard - was 105. That was in early June. lol Being a Southerner, I prefer being hot to being cold. This may be why I don't mind the heat of a professional kitchen & prefer riding with open windows vs. using the a/c.

Ugh! I also live in LA. THe heat wave was horrid. It's still near 90's, but with all the rain we have been getting, it's not so bad.

Managed to Make church and they keep it just above freezing. Its been a strange year…too much rain not too much heat…I dread winter and I live were cold winter days mean 50-60 days and a few scattered 40 nights. Happy Summer to all!!

I live in Mississippi, aka 'the roasting area'. We Average a heat index of 110 for 3 months every summer. It is now (heat wave) hitting 115 - 120 heat index for nearly 3 weeks. (and some people wonder why I stay inside!)

We here in Missouri have been in the way upper 90's and 100's for a week or so now
it can cool down at any time and I would be happier. It hit 103 in St. Louis Thursday and 101 yesterday. Only God knows what will happen today, I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will come to an end soon for everyone.

96 and 97 in Burlington, VT Thursday and Friday. Some "relief" today with expected high of 92. The 96 and 97 temps were records. I've been semi hibernating in my small office room where I've put in a small A/C. Plus, dog very prone to hot spots which are brought on by heat/humidity so he's been in here with me. Majority of houses here don't have central A/C. Can't wait for Monday when it's supposed to be right around 80! I used to live in SE VA so these temps are not unfamiliar to me but definitely unwelcome! Stay hydrated and cool everyone!

I live in Fort Myers, Florida (west coast of Florida), it has been 95 everyday for weeks and weeks, now, but with the humidity here, it equals to over 100. The heat does zap your energy, even being inside…feels like I am in slow motion trying to get normal, every day thngs done…but we know that here in Florida, the weather will be much better come around end of October!! We just thnk cool thoughts til then!! Pretty bad when my electric bill is way higher than my car payment!!

We in PA., are right there with you…100 today, 102 yesterday, 98 tomorrow…all the way down to 88 on Monday! And we are eagerly looking forward to those balmy, halcyon temps on Monday!
Spending a lot more time inside ,in the A/C…this heat doesn't make me want to do anything…zaps my energy!

To HOT to push mow the grass in Kentucky and the humidity matches the heat, 90's in the day and 80's at night. Lots of afternoon thunderstorms too, just makes the humidity worse.

Hello Mays, You want to know about Hot,Hot Weather, check out Texas. We have been in the heat wave now for over a month. And the temp. doesn't go down that much at night time either. It's in the 80's at night, and up to the 100's plus during the daytime (not in the shade, either) and its suppose to get even Hotter. So everyone drink lots of fluids and stay cool. Your Friend, Cynthia

Hi Texas gals, I'm in Plano. What is this, day 21 or 22 of 100 plus weather? The seven-day outlook I saw yesterday was more than 100 every day. My sister is in West Texas and the fires and draught conditions are scary.

22+ consecutive days of 100+ degree weather!
Seeing it on the news here in NJ (the high temps there), I sympathize with you.
Try to keep cool!

The heat here in Atlanta wouldn't be quite so bad but the humidity is a kiiller. My daughter lives south of Des Moines, the weather channel gave her town as a heat index of 131.

We've been in the upper 90's for over a week with heat indexs in the 100's (live in Wisconsin) They are saying, (weather people here) we will have a break for a day or two, we will be in the upper 80's, then back into the 90's for most of next week, and extremely humid.
