I get up at 6am and do daycare. I get to go back to bed since she does. But it is messing with my blood sugars in the morning. They have been higher and I am not sure what I need to do to get them back down. I watch her 4 days a week.

I take Metformin 1000 mgs twice a day. I eat what I am suppose to and try to eat a healthy snack before bed. My blood sugar levels were at 95 to 100 before and now are around 117-120. I don't have a big appetite and eat small amounts.

Does anyone have any ideas that could maybe help or I could try? This is getting very frustrating. Any ideas on snacks before bed.

Thank You,

First your #s are not Bad ,but getting there
Is it only on the 4 day's ???? stress ????
It may even be that you need a High fiber snack when you get up
I use Fiber-all when I get up to get my grand baby off to school
It was to put something in my tummy so I would not eat anything and it worked for me I hope it will for you .
Best wishes

No it is all week. I think has to do with getting woke up and then going back to bed. I need to have a certain amount of sleep that is not interrupted. I am not getting that now. So this explains my extra pain, headaches and now the higher BG.
Thank you for your help and I'll check into it.

Do you test when you first get up and then after you get up the 2nd time? Might be you need to eat a small protein snack before going back to bed.

If I test the first time it is higher than the second testing. Do you know of any great tasting protein bars?
Thanks for your reply.

So your rising BG is high, but after you get up and moving for a bit, then go back to sleep, it goes down? I haven't found any protein bars that I can handle carb wise, so nope - sorry!
