I'm curious if it just me or do Dr's tend to blame everything on diabetes? i mean lately its almost like i go to appt with bronchitis and its my diabetes! Does anyone else experience this?

No it is not just you! I have been having the worst luck with Drs. lately. I know I am over weight and I have Diabetes 2, but there are other things going on and I believe they are the reason that I can not seem to find the right combination of medications. Every medication has usual, occasional and rare side effects. If your Dr does not know what these are, how can they say it is your Diabetes and not the medication they have you taking? And if they do not know what the side effects are why are they prescribing it to begin with? Does anyone elses Dr give you attitude when you mention you looked up a medication on Sorry I am just more than a little frustrated these days. I am tired of being treated like an uncooperative child sent to the principals office and I am waiting for a parent to show up. That is what my tri monthly visits to my PCP has become. Anyway no it is not only you.

Sounds to me like your PCP needs a new attitude or you need a new PCP.

He works for you! Nobody should feel like you describe —- unless you actually ARE a uncooperative child in the principal's office.

I have had a few Drs. try to blame some problems on diabetes when it was the fault of bad leg vein pumps. They kept insisting because Diabetes is more well known as a trouble maker. Thankfully they were in the minority and my other Drs. kept looking to find the real culprit.

No, I don't experience that daydreamer, but on the other hand, diabetes CAN be easy to blame because it causes so many other complications. That being said, I think it is a bit over reaching to blame bronchitis on Diabetes.
