Taking your Diabetes medicine as prescribed? I'm sure we all are doing our best at this.

What about other presciption medications?
Are you reading all the information on those little leaflets they insert into your bag?

One example I must point out. Having taken pain medicines, I always worried about the effect of the liver.

What about the effects on the heart?

We need to know much more about the medicines we take, and learn how to prevent complications.

I have been taking several meds. for years. Ranging from pain control to diuretics for cholesterol, sometimes I forget on purpose or do not take the diuretics because I do not like going to the bathroom all the time. But I soon realize that I am prescribed this medication for a reason and get back on track.

I take all kinds of medications and they seem to work for me. Some of the medications that I take fall into several categories.

I take diabetes medication, I take medications for a mental illness and I also take medications for medical reasons.

I try to keep my medications on a specific schedule to keep the medication in the blood stream.
Just learned something about taking tylenol from the rheumatologist that is didn't realize but, once he told me it makes sense.
I do read the information they put in with my prescriptions and even go to a PDR when needed.

Could you please tell us more about the tylenol you mentioned?

Some medications have tylenol in them, without tylenol being the name.

Help with this? Betty Jo
