I never know what I feel like eatting in the mornings but what I do know is that I am tired of eggs, toast, with butter and jelly sugar free and oat meal and fruit, so who has some good ideals of what to eat because pancakes send my sugars to the roof. So can anyone help!!!

I have oatmeal or oatbran, both are hot cereals every morning for breakfast. I add fresh fruits and 1 tsp of cinnamon.
I have my coffee with breakfast, just black.

I usually have raw and sauted veggies for breakfast, seasoned with a webber grill mate and sometimes I toss in some nuts or a bit of salsa. I use a lot of zucchini and yellow squash because they have a lot of fiber and keep me full. I also use raw spinach and parsley. It's very colorful and warm but not all cooked so it is a good start to my day. If I want to add a little more carb, I add some slice sweet potatoes. Those are really good.

I used to top my veggies with an egg or two for the protein, but I stopped and opted for a cleaner protein like nuts or garbanzo beans.

Today was the first time I tried oatmeal for breakfast. It got cold last night (at least by Florida rules) So I made a batch for the family this morning. I will see what it does to my levels. I usually can't touch cereal, so I am hoping oatmeal is more friendly to me.

Did you add the cinnamon to it?. I love the grinder cinnamon with oatmeal and cream of wheat.

Yep, grinder cinnamon, raw sugar, some soy milk and chopped nuts. However, now that I have tested, something has to change. I went up 90 points. I might try my agave next time, less oatmeal and more nuts.

I do not ever have a problem with the cinnamon or the raw sugar. I do not put milk or nuts in mine. I had this morning a tuna salad on rye bread. Sugar Am was 165 2 hours after lunch it was 126. I am going to have all veggies for dinner. Hope the numbers hold today.

Don't forget that there are no carbohydrates in meat, and we need protein for tissue repair and other bodily functions. Protein from animal sources is more easily metabolized unless one has disfunctional kidneys or opts for a no-meat diet for personal reasons. Due to my 3 kinds of anemias and migraine headache my body does better with red meats daily. It gets depressed otherwise. (But my mood doesn't.)

I usually have a SF fat-free yogurt and black decaffinated coffee. Sometimes cottage cheese and canned SF peaches or pears.

What about an omelette with all kinds of veggies in it. I make one with onions, spinach, mushrooms, red peppers and sometimes jalapenos. And for the cheese I use feta. I know it is eggs but it is different and very filling.

I like your idea a lot better than my usual oatmeal and fruit.Lol I love veggies and the idea of eating them at breakfast is very nice.

Cheese & crackers, fatfree yogurt with 1/2 ounce almonds, carrot sticks with a small amt Ranch dressing, left over pizza (weigh it first), left-over dinner portions. I, too, cannot eat the yummy stuff for breakfast anymore, but do need a little something.
