Hey All You Guys Out There, How can you tell if your meter is giving you a false reading or not? I think all 3 of mine are, but I'm not sure. Help?

I have had my current meter almost 7 years. I check my BS 4-6 times a day. It is an acu-chek

Have you checked your meters with the control solution,it will verify if your meters are correct. Also all meters are about 10% to 30% off high or low numbers.

Yeah, I just checked my b/s on 2 different meters, and they weren't even close! One said that my b/s was 92, & the other 1 said that my b/s was @ 75. So I don't know which meter is correct.

My first meter was awful .. was sometimes 30 to 50 points off what my doctor's readings where. I picked the Freestyle Flash and compared it to the doctor's meter at my next visit and it was only a couple points off to the high end. Have had it ever since.

Thing is this meter is covered by my insurance. I don't want to go out and purchase one, and then not have it be compatible w/my doctors computer program.
