ive always been told since i became diabetic and even before that eating five small meals a day is healthier for you and i always ignored that advice.recently i was hospitalized for a dka attack as my bg levels had been running extremely high for years,more oftn than not only giving me a reading of "hi". whlie being dischrged it was suggested to me again.well i tried it, and WOW…it worked for me. before this mind you i only ate once a day,usualy about 6 p.m. now i force myself to eat 5 times a day(very small amounts of course) and my bg levels are coming down more with each day.today theyve been running in the 160's. I LOVE IT!!! my body is adjusting to the change slowly,but it is adjusting. i think everyone who is not already eating 5 small meals a day should definately try it,its a real energy booster too!!
