My husband and I plan on having kids in the near future. He has Type 1 diabetes and I was wondering has that effected anyone in trying to start a family? Can diabetes cause a man to be infertile? It seems we both have a fear that we won't be able to have kids. This may sounds silly to some but its a serious feeling on my part. I know there are people out there that have kids all the time with diabetes. I personally don't know any other men that have type 1 so I wasn't sure. Any help on this subject would be very helpful!

The best way to know is to have him tested
While your at it have your self tested then you will know .

Thank you Harlen! You and myself are on the same page. I have been thinking about getting tested for awhile. I will have to check into him doing the same. Hopefully he will do it. As for Anonymous, I would definitely do the same as myself and get tested. Hopefully everything works out for you two!

My husband and I are in the same position. What if he doesn't have the sperm to be tested. At times it seems like he doesn't have any…*wow I know very personal*
