I've been checking my blood sugar more lately because 1)adding the byetta means changing my levemir, with the extreme heat we're having make me a little shaky sort of like I feel during a low.
So after lunch and my afternoon exercise I tested. I was 64. Ordinarily I would have waited a while to assure my bs was going down. Today I needed to go get my new glasses ordered (yeah!) so to make sure I didn't have a problem I ate a full teaspoon of peanut butter. A while after getting home I tested again and was 134. Before dinner I tested I was 224.
What the heck is that about? I'm si confused!!!

Why would you eat peanut butter to bring a serious low up? At 64 I would have had at least a 15 gram bottle of glucose liquid in me. Its possible the pb started bring it up slowly and then your body took over, kicked into high gear and did a glucose dump; therefore you went too high.
