I was taking 100 units of it 2xd till I developed an allergic rxn to the Lantus. Was also taking 20 to 50 U of novolog 3 to 4 times a day. Then they switched me to Levamir and I got up to 200 U of that a day with the same novolog accomapnying. Now I take 100 U of Humalog about 5 times a day. (Its U500 and I take 20mL 5xd)

I know there are much higher doses.. guess the question is is that volume working for you? My doc assured me that there are patients taking 3000 units of insulin a day, so my 5 to 600 is okay :)
