DC is a wonderful place to get information, questions answered, and connect with people who care. I am newly diagnosed and have found such great support here. You can truly post any question and not feel silly for asking it. Be sure to add as friends those whose postings resonate with you. welcome.

Welcome! This is a rather friendly website with some genuine down-to-earth people who understand where you are, were and will be. I could not believe how quickly I made friends here who have turned into real life friends instead of just virtual ones. I believe this site is full of motivation, education and inspiration. The first day I was diagnosed I was so completely stunned that I found myself on google looking for support groups for diabetics. I tried out a couple of the sites to find them a little "stuffy" but felt right at home here with several people who were talking with me instead of talking down to me. I love it here! I hope you will feel the same. We don't always stick to the topic of diabetes because we are more than just diabetics. We are parents/children, employees, consumers, friends and spouses or partners. This is not a one size fits all website because we don't share a one size fits all condition. Like any roller coaster we are right by your side whether you feel like laughing or crying or completely stunned from the journey. Hold on tight!!!

Just post a question or an observation and you won't feel so lost. Everyone jumps in and joins the discussion.

We were all where you are. I'm pretty new here too. Diagnosed one year ago. You feel less lost when you have a little more information and when you realize that some things work for you…in fact some of them will work extremely well for you, time will tell. Just keep looking and reading and trying to take care of yourself.

Good morning, Shelly, and welcome to the group. I have T2 also - just diagnosed last year, so pretty new to the whole thing myself. Anyway, I've made lots of new friends here on the site, and have found discussions which have answered some of my questions and assured me that I'm not alone! Hope you can feel the same. Happy Sunday!

My first time on this site I just looked around a bit, and the next day started making friends, and it's been a real blessing. Honest!

Howdy Shelly! WELCOME to Diabetic Connect!

This is a excellent place to come and get support and some answers to your question. Of course, this is not a medical website, but you can get support from those of us who are "walking the walk" of controlling our diabetes.

Please ask any questions you may have. Someone will probably give you their opinion.

Praying you get answers to your questions.
