I am a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic. I am on both pills and insulin. I keep my blood sugar under control with meds, diet and exercise, but it is starting to get to me. I am ready to chuck it all, and go back to my old ways of eating. I miss too many of the foods I like. I miss real eggs, pastas, doughnuts, and all the other "no-no" foods I used to enjoy. Does getting used to changing everything overnight like I had to do get any better? Will I ever get used to this lifestyle? If so how long will it take?
