Hello Sue, I compleatly understand that feeling. I have been feeling the same way as of late. The pains in my hands are so bad that I only get about 3 hours of good sleep at night and then play a dozing game from the pain. My numbers are hard to even get below 200. I sometimes go in my bathroom and just cry. I sometimes feel like giving up too. I think we all do from time to time. Heck after all we are only human. I am sure that like the rest of us we then pick our selves up, dust ourselves off and try again. Then today I found that 2x's today My sugar was down to 134 WOW! So what I am saying to you is don't ever give up. If you need us we are here. The hardest part about being diabetic is that everyone can say that, but we each have to fight our own battle. And it is so easy to forget how many people really do care. Family even if they don't know how to help, they do care. Friends care and most certianly this wonderful group of people care. Hang tough and yell and cry and get back up. We are all here for you.

Hello Sue, My name is Cynthia,And some times I'm so depressed that I too want to give up. Thats the easy part just give up. But then what will you have? What about the next week and the next month, and the next year? And what about your Family? And is that a photo of a Grandchild on your profil? I think maybe that might be you when you were little? Sometimes we all get down and depressed when we were first diagnsed with diabetes. Wanted to run like I could get away from diabetes. Or cry was going to take it away. But, You stand up tall and help society with" our hope and dream" that 1day, 1 injection,1 pill,1 study, just might help find the cure for this illness. Help us Find the cure instead of giveing up. God, choose you and the rest of us all to help carry the burden of trying to find a cure for Diabetes. Sue, you have hundreds of friends and extended family here at DC site to support you and to hold your hand or what ever we can do for you. Just get Mad. Don't go the low road and just give up. Thank about us and your family, and join the fight for a cure…Your Friend, "Shoulders" Cynthia

Sue, don't give up, please. You will shorten your life by doing so.Even when I get discouraged I look at the positives about diabetes and, yes, there is one. I am healthier than before…losing weight slowly, exercising more, eating better (well, most of the time). I wish I didn't have diabete type 2 but I do. Get your warrior spirit going and fight. This is also a wonderful community here. Even if you can't see us, we are here for you. Let us help. Also if you haven't, get involved in an activity (volunteer) that takes the focus off of your diabetes so that you are not thinking of it 24/7. I volunteer at a food pantry. It keeps me from focusing on myself. God bless you.

Would you like to share more of why you are so frustrted. Sometimes talking about or writting out what is happening helps. Plus knowing people are listening helps. Who knows maybe someone here could be able to help you.

Sue, don't let a disease defeat you. As long as you're here on earth, live it to the fullest. We all have the same destination but while we're here let's make the most of it and just let nature take it's course if it's time. Never surrender to a disease. The longer you live the more chances you'll reach a time when there may be a cure for whatever your disease is. :) Feel free to contact me about anything, anytime.

I am so sorry you feel that way, Sue! There are times we all get like that, especially those of us who have chronic conditions of any kind, and from what you note on your profile, you've got your share of medical challenges.

What is it that you mean, when you say "I give up"? Are you talking about doing something to hurt yourself? I pray that that is not so.
