It's not an apple a day after all that keeps the doctor away, It's Strawberries.

Found this article in Science Daily - Diabetic News

It's all about flavoids. They believe that stawberries can help relieve Diabetes and Nervous system Disorders.

I would like to share this article with you.

I read this article too. I wonder how big the strawberries they tested this on were. I bought a package that had less than 37 and could not eat them all in a day. They were huge. I remember growing strawberries that were under the size of a quarter. I could eat 37 of those but they are not the ones you find in the store. I wonder if 1 huge strawberry is equal to 4 - 5 of the smaller ones?

Thanks for sharing. It was interesting to read that Diabetes might lead to an increased risk of Azheimers'. My mother-in-law had both. This is not the first article I have seen mention a possiblity of an increased risk factor.
Due to allergies to strawberries I could probably only eat 4 day. Blueberries are even worse on me. Need to do some further research as to other high flavoids fruits and vegies to see what might help.

Extremely intereting, Sybil! Especially for me because they mentioned kidney disease in the article too. (I'm about 1 or 2 months away from needing to go on dialysis again). I couldn't find the article right away from your link, because there was a lot of other good information there (gonna have to bookmark this site). This might take folks directly to the article itself: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/06/...
