Here we are back on A1C again - has anyone any idea how how the A1C chart goes? When mine was 14, it could have been over 14, and my GP sorta freaked, and he recommended the endocrinologist that I went to for a while (the one who didn't really understamd diabetes) and you talk about somebody freaking out! And while we're at it, is anyone on here around Memphis and can recommend a good endocrinologist?

Perhaps you could look for an Endo on either Yelp, or on Angie's List. I understand they do reviews of Drs. But be sure the Dr you pick is on your insurance co's list!

I am blessed with a PA whose mother is a T2. The local endo here thinks he's God's gift to all things in that field, yet has the bedside manner of a rapist. I refuse to see him.

Call your local community health center and ask; check out the yellow pages; do a search on Google or Yahoo! for diabetes specialists in your area. Also, your nurses will know who to avoid and not ;)
