usually diabetes. When I was first diagnosed, I was 5.7 full blown diabetic. My second reading was 5.4 and a person can be diabetic and have those A1C numbers. That is usually a temporary number, that good, and I know I have it diabetes for sure. When Igot that second reading, my diabetes educator called, where I had taken the classes, and she told me that was like a prediabetic, but once I have it, I will always have it, that it could last a lng time at that number, but eventually would go up.

6.6 is good, the new target set by my doc is 6.5 or lower. That means you have good control. As realsis77 suggested, check your pattern throughout the day and definitely talk to your doctor or Diabetes Educator for futher advice.

You should speak to your doctor about your readings. I'm not sure exactly what a non diabetic reading is. I do know that. 6.6 is fairly low but like I said I'm unsure of non diabetic readings. What did your doctor say to you? I believe that could be slightly elevated blood sugar. What are your DAILY blood sugar readings? You should probably test daily and see how your running. Also there are some tests the doctor can do to determine if you have diabetes or not. Perhaps you should ask your doctor for these tests.this way you can be sure of what's going on. What has the doctor said to you? Have you had other types of diabetes testing? Hopefully testing and your doc can clear A1C compiles about 3 months of blood sugar results. Its worth asking for more testing! This way you will know. If your doctor says your pre diabetic and you suspect your a diabetic id still ask my doctor for futher testing! Hopefully your not diabetic but if you are you will want to know as soon as possiable so you can begin a treatment plan and lower your sugar. Id talk to my doctor soon and get this figured out! I wish you the very best! God bless
