Hello , I have type two… and i have been on meds (pills) for about 2 months. Lately, I get this feeling in my hands and feet like they are falling asleep…like pins and needles are shooting up them. It has happened a few times..But today is the worst. Just wondering if this happens to anyone else…I do have a doctors apt here coming up ..so I will bring it up. I'm just wondering what I can do to make this lesson..

Sounds like Diabetic Neuropathy Tabitha That's how mine started. Pins & needles and feeling like you're getting electric shocks
If you get your blood glucose readings under good control, you might still be able to halt this condition in its tracks. It is usually worse when your blood glucose readings are high. Dr may prescribe Gabapentin/Nerontin. If that don't work there are other meds they can try.

My Neuropathy is too well established and from my knees to toes I feel like my legs are on fire. From my elbows to fingers, I have a tingling sensation, like my arm is "going to sleep"

I have been keeping my Blood Glucose numbers in a good range now, and take Nortryptelene as a prescription. I take OTC Alpha Lipolic Acid which is supposed to help with this also. The combination of what I'm doing seems to be lessening my burning pain. The tingles are not so bad but they're more of an annoyance. I'd love it if the burning would stop.

Blessings to you and yours, Tabitha
