I joined WW last week and since I have had several drops in my blood sugar, has anyone else had this problem? I really need to lose weight but really hate these drops in sugar.
Can someone please help me???

I love WW! I had lost a bunch of weight on there a few years ago. I am doing Sparkpeople.com now and I love it! I have lost almost 30 lbs since Jan 10th. Spark People tells me what calories I need to eat everyday. I log my food, fitness and now my sugar on there.they have support groups and more! Check it out! My name is Sugarz on there.

I don't know if you have a diabetes specialist helping or guiding you, but you do need to consume 15 to 20 grams of carbs every couple of hours. You must read labels of everything you consume. As long as you are doing that you shouldn't have a problem. Best wishes.

I good friend of mine has been on WW and has lost a LOT of weight and is doing great! I have never tried WW, but when I change diet (or medicine, for that matter), I have to alter things. Can you talk to your doctor about changing your meds while on WW? Is there a snack you can legitimately sneak in there so you don't drop — a fruit, cup of popcorn, something? When I was on glipizide, I had to cut my dosage in half the days I went to exercise class or I couldn't make it through class!

I am on glipizide too and that maybe my problem. I am going to talk to my ww leader tonight and see what can be done.

In my humble opinion WW gives you too few calories. I read on dlife.com that most diabetics should not be on less than 1500 calories and unless WW has changed they start you off at about 900 or less. IF I were you I would add a carb snack of min 15 grams between the 3 meals. See if it helps. I wish you success. [when I was having a lot of lows I had to eat every 3 hours and drink a Glucerna shake before bed to keep me from plumiting in the night]
