I stumbled across this today and was wondering if any of you have tired it?

It is a tea made by Milagro de la Selva and is supposed to help with glucose numbers as well as cholesterol and since many of us have issues with both as diabetics, I thought it might be of interest.

It comes in tea form for steeping and in liquid form for convenience, but the liquid is sweetened with stevia. So if you drink tea without sweetener, the tea might be a better option.

I was just curious and hope to hear some feed back from anyone who has used it or something similar.

I use this tea, as do many people I know with type 1 & 2. It works wonders if you stay on it for at least 6 months and use it before every meal. I can't guarantee it will help everyone. However, it has been a miracle for me and my family. I am going on 8 months of use and my doctors reduced my insulin pills. I am a firm believer.

Insulin pills Sunny?
Insulin can be taken two ways: by injection or by inhaling it. The stomach acid will destroy the action of the insulin, So no insulin pills!

Such a mistake causes me to wonder if you REALLY know what you're talking about?

I have tried this tea in the past but did not work for me. Excited that it is working for you. I have found a coffee plus a green tea that is incredible. Have a friend that has always had extreme trouble in keeping glucose levels in check and this is the only thing that has helped.

I haven't tried that one yet but I have tried one called Sugar Controller Herb Tea by Health King and it does help me. I use / drink it when my sugar is elevated due to stress, or when I had a cold last month, it helps me and it has a pleasant taste. It doesn't replace my meds, it just helps when my meds are not working as well due to the different problems. And I am now using stevia to sweeten my teas, coffee etc.

because every person with diabetes' (PWD) body is different, the responses to a particular input such as that tea would vary from PWD to PWD.

That is my thing really. I want to find something to help me with my morning numbers. I rise at night so much and it just makes me crazy. I drop about 50-75 points during the day, but I always start so dang high. If I can start lower in the morning then my drop will get me below 100 and that would be WONDERFUL!

I hate sites like this. Sure we all want to believe it, but if it really, really worked, why wouldn't our doctors tell us to go buy it instead of the meds they give us? On the other hand, the price is responsible enough to try and if it tastes good as a tea, no loss then.

The tea works, it's an aid not a cure, and my doctor does recommend it to her patients now. It works for most from what I understand, but it takes being compliant.

i believe that the doctors can't tell us cause they are not allowed to cause they can lose their liencese. but i believe if u have a doctor you can trust and confied in he will hint to you a certain way

Why don't Drs tell us to try it? #1, their whole livlihood is based on the MEDICAL model. the tea is a herb. #2 there is more profit to the big pharma companies which spils over to the Dr when he prescribes a new drug through kickbacks. #3 there's not enough profit to be made with natural products. #4 natural products can vary in strength from batch to batch so the outcome is not as predictable.

Also finding a natural item that is not tainted with other junk. There is a lot of combining that goes on that reduces the effectiveness of naturals. It is hard to figure it all out.

I haven’t tried that one yet. Will have to look around for it. I read somewhere that bitter melon and Banaba leaf was supposed to help with blood sugar control. I have tried bitter melon and banaba tea and really haven’t noticed any great benefit for controlling my blood sugar. I do like drinking tea and have several kinds I make from time to time but so far I haven’t found one yet to control my blood sugar. I found eating lots of low carb vegetables and drinking lots of water has helped me the most. And eliminating most high carb foods also helped me a lot.

Yes, that is the given. But sometimes I still just am high, specially in the mornings and if I can get my numbers lower overnight I will have a better day because I always drop during the day. I am just looking for some help. I have tried the snack route and cannot find one that works for me with any consistency.
