I found out when I was 6 weeks pregnant that my pre-diabetes turned into type 2 with my pregnancy. I'm doing ok with the strict meal plan and won't have to use insulin hopefully until my third trimester. Does anyone have any fun diabetic friendly recipes? I'm need to eat 210 carbs a day.

Congratiulations on your pregnancy. I pray you and your new child are and will continue to be healthy.

I just want to tell you that you may not be permanently type 2.

The mother of my 3 sons got gestational diabetes for all 3 pregnancies. She didn't remain diabetic once the babies were delivered. She got the gestational diabetes earlier in each successive pregnancy so we decided that we would stop having children to avoid her going into type 2 like her mother did. She's now in her mid-50s. So far, she's had a heart attack, but has not yet developed diabetes. So far so good.

I pray that once your baby comes to term and is born, that you will return to your pre-diabetic condition.
