Last week I dedicated to walking (which has been a chore). I noticed that my BS level can be good (120) before I walk then high (170) when I return. Does anyone know what causes that and what can I do to stop it from happening..if anything?

Yep it did the same thing to me
I had to eat a high fiber snak before my walk and then after My BS woukd be good.
It seems that when we work out and dont have something before the liver will dump sugar in to your blood stream .
Hope this helps
Best wishes

Hey Harlen;

It seems that by eating something before I walked has helped. Over the last couple of days I have ate something before I left on the walk and I went ahead and took my meds too. It seems that has counter acted the stress my body goes through with the walking.

I know over the last two days my BS has dropped too. I just had a shock. Before eating dinner I took my BS to see where it was before eating and it was 25. I have never had it that low. I am going to take it again here in about an hour (2 hours after eating) and see where I stand. It is difficult getting on a regular schedule with eating often and with exercising, but it seems with doing this it is regulating my BS and making it what it is suppose to be. What a lifestyle change diabetes makes in your life.

Anyway, thank you for the input, I do appreciate it.

Have a goodnight,
