I been diagnosed with type 2 diabeties back in 2006 and it never really has been under control. I have flashing lights in my right eye for about one week, and now my left eye is extremely red with a white dot in the white portion of my eye. If anyone could help me with this situation I am having I would appreciate it. I am scheduled to see my eye doctor tomorrow afternoon.

You have done what you need to do. Please share with us what the doctor said so that we can know for future use. That sounds so scary. My dad had one eye fill with blood. It was reversed though and he regained his sight. So at least you are taking care of it. That is the most important thing.

Glad you are seeing your eye Dr. Flashing lights can be a sign of your retina starting to tear. I had that happen to me severl years ago. The eye Dr. montored the situtaion and luckily my retina did not tear. My Father had his tear and lasars were used to correct the problem. My eye Dr says to phone him immeadiately if it happens to me again.
