Just wanted to post a quick note to say hello and yes I am still alive and I hope you all are doing well. I did try to answer all my old mails that I had missed since my life had gotten over busy. I've missed you guys. One thing that brought me back was a very very strange email coming from DC this morning but was not in my Inbox here on the site. And when I searched the membership I did not find the person it was from. I will not go into the personal nature of it but will summarize that the person emailing had been to my profile and seemed to be looking for a *cough* " romantic" relationship but asking me to contact them outside of the site. Is it possible for people outside the site to send us notifications without being members? Has anyone else been getting strange emails like this?
Anyway, if this is a new setting that I need to change I have not found it and could use some guidance on fixing that.

Betty,
Hey, friend, good to see you here again.

So, I'm sure what happened is that we caught this spammer and deleted their account. So it was an inbox or profile message and that sent you a notification that you had received the message. But by the time you came to the site, we had caught them and deleted their account which deleted their posts as well.

To further confirm this, I'd be happy to take a look at the email you received. You can forward it to community at alliancehealth dot com and I'll receive it.

John

Glad you popped in for a quick visit. I agree with James let John know about the strange request. Hackers can turn up anywhere.

Howdy Betty & welcome back!

As far as I know there's not a way that can normally happen, but who knows, perhaps some hacker got access and caused it to be sent.

If I were you I'd contact John Crowley and copy the email you got from DC and all the metadata you can and email it to him. Perhaps the tech. ppl can figure out what it was about. Or the "from" part could be spoofed.

I don't know much about those sorts of things myself so I can't elaborate on how that happens, I've just heard it can happen.

Please don't be a stranger Betty!

Praying God's richest blessings on you and yours

James
