My migraines have been a lot more intense lately and a lot more often. I'm not sure if it's the heat or the stress of getting ready to move. I had a bad BS day before yesterday and then yesterday I had a really intense migraine. The immitrex always helps, but I can still feel the migraine like it's sneaking around and hiding in the dark recesses of my head. I've tried a warm wet cloth and a cold wet cloth. I have to wear sun glasses even in the house. Does anyone have any better ideas. I would love some info on this subject. Thank you for anything.

Hi Trudie,
I've got them, too-nasty things they are! And also live with chronic headaches. Which means banging headaches everyday of my life for the past 3 years or so.
Went to the Neurologist and he gave me Gabapentin, you know the stuff for neuropathy (works for lots of stuff it seems) and a small amount of a drug called Topomax, which has some very strange side effects, so I only take a tiny dose. But some is better than none, he says, and it does seem to help. All gone are the chronic headaches, and the migraines are actually lessening too. I take Maxalt for the migraines when I have to, if 2 Tylenol and 2 Aleve all at once don't work (also suggested by the Neuroligist).
Maybe see a Neurologist about the migraines? I haven't gone on MIgraine Connect, but I bet they'd have some suggestions too, as James said.
If you like, send a message to me and maybe we can talk?

Thanks sweetheart. I also take gaba penttin for nerve pain. My daughter took the topomax and had side effects. When it isn't a migraine and only bad head aches I take Hydracodone and a muscle relaxer, which only sometimes stops the head ache.I've never heard of maxalt. I think maybe I'll check out the migraine web site.

Have you checked with the people on the Migranes site? I am fortunate enough not to have that problem, so I cannot be of much help to you.

Praying that those nasty migraines go away quickly.

James
