Hi. I had the same thing happen to me on januvia. My numbers ran 300 to400. Finally I got put on two different insulins and with a few dose increases I'm running perfectly. I never thought id be able to say that. The insulins helped me greatly! Id speak to my doc about a dose increase of insulin. Remember noy EVERYONE can control on diet and pills. I couldn't. So you need a treatment plan that's working for you. Consider the insulin full time. It DOES take some dose adjustments before its right so habg in there and God bless

Hello. This is a hard thing to do - eat the right stuff. We all struggle with it, but unfortunately, it is one of the biggest issues that will help your numbers come down. I love all sweets so I've had to teach myself to limit them to once or twice a week in small doses. You didn't mention if you are doing any exercise. That helps too. Even if its just walking every day, your body will use up the glucose to feed your muscles. You don't have to run a marathon, just walk. I am trying myself to get back to 1 mile every day. A slow pace to start is just fine. Every little bit helps.

Check out your other lifestyle choices and see where you can cut back. Keep a food diary for a week and list the carbs behind all you've eaten. Then see where you could have skipped something or changed it out.

You're hungry all the time because your sugars are too high.

Hi doggier, I know first hand how hard it is to control your blood sugar. I have been running numbers like yours for the past year sometimes as high as 800 or higher at times. everytime I went to the doctor they will increase my insulin now I have to take actos 2 in the morning along with insulin 2 times a day. So far in the past 2 weeks my numbers have been down. What really motivated me was i was told that I was on the verge of having a heart attack and a stroke if I don't get my numbers down. That scared me. Now I tried to count my carbs and eat the right amount of foods. I suggest that you try and see a nutritionist and a diabetic educator to help you. I know that it can be hard but hang in there.
