Have any of you tried any of the high fiber low carb tortillas? The first brand I found was La Tortilla Factory. They have the big burrieto size ones that only have 12g carb if I follow the rule I was taught. That was subtracting half the fiber from the carb to get the net carb. But I'm wondering if that is true now because I just bought 2 other brands and they were subtracting the whole fiber grams from the carb, so coming up with a lower net carb thna I did. Any one know which way is the correct way? I have found that the La tortilla factory tortillas don't move my bg hardly at all and sometimes depending what I'm eating with it, my bg will drop slightly.

Thanks to all that answered my question about fiber vs carb. I had been subtracting only half of the fiber grams from the carbs, because the teacher at my class told us to do it that way but it will be easier doing the whole amt.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep an eye out for those. As far as carbs are concerned, try carb-counter.com, cause I was taught that you subtract the whole number of fiber from the total carbs.

Your welcome. I think it isnice to find a carb that could actually be good for us. I have had great results eating them. Just found some smaller ones. The first bag I bought was large burrito size, so I think the smaller ones should give me even better results.

That's good to know. I've been checking out tortillas too. I can't remember the brand I bought though, haven't found it in any supermarkets. I had picked them up at the flea market grocer.

I got mine first package at a Fred Myers store but if you have Kroger or QFC stores near you they might have them too since they are the same company.

I just realized earlier today that I actually only got one new brand and I haven't tried it yet. Read the label and it contains soy flour so now I'm a little afraid to try it.

There are so many foods that contain soy now days.
If you are on blood thinners, you need to read labels, if soy is one of the top products don.t eat it
