Sugar Suppliments

I am seeing in a lot of recipes that Splenda is a recommended suppliment for sugar. I am allergic to it and so can't use and don't like the taste of the other sugar replacement products. So I was wondering what is known about Truvia and if it is a good suppliment for diabetics to use in place of these?

For my money, it has a very slight menthol or minty taste. Still, if you are allergic to sucralose (Splenda) it is a natural extract and should suit you better than anything else out there. It certainly tastes better than sodium saccharin (Sweet and Low).

Check out this site: When I was in the hospital in March I asked the Doctors and the Dietitian and all said it was ok. I have tried it and find it ok, except I find it not as sweet…requiring a little more to make things taste as sweet as say using Splenda or Sweet n Low which are 200 to 400 times as sweet.
You can purchase on their website as it is not available in all areas in bulk. I hope this helps…best wishes…
