I am a type one diabetic and when I get any kind of cut I scar really bad. The scars do not seem to fade either. My legs are starting to look like I have chicken pox =/ and the staring is unbelievable exspecially since its summer again and I dread putting on a pair of shorts! Does anyone have this problem with healing and any suggestions for helping the scars to dissapear would be highlyyy appreciatied

I've tried mederma, currently using bio oil. But my scars are not raised scars, there just flat discolored scars, Even if I use the bug sprays the lotions afterwards I'm still scarring. I just have no way of avoiding them, I can only try to make them fade I guess

There is also a topical ointment called aquaderm I believe. It is recommended by tattoo artists to prevent scarring after a tattoo. My mom used it after her knee surgery and you can hardly tell she had the surgery.

I'm twelve, I have type 1 and my legs are favorites of any mosquito within a 2 mile radius… What I do is right after a bite or cut i put triple antibiotic ointment on it and even if it scars, I try to make it as less noticeable as possible, it's not easy, but being a diabetics not easy… Were tough people..,

My daughter would welp up with mosguito bites when she was younger. I found Elocon (a prescription cream) would stop the swelling.
